Meet the Team: Tanya Mihedova

In this meet the team article, we hear from Tanya, our Client Administrator in Malta.

Tanya joined our Malta team in June 2018 and expertly oversees daily administration, payments, and payroll, specifically for our yachting clients.

What does your day-to-day role at Affinity involve?

I am a client administrator at the Malta office and take care of a portfolio of clients along with the duties of an office administrator and much more.

What led you to this career?

Luck and destiny! After many years of being a housewife, I finally was looking for an ‘easy’ office job and found Affinity. 😆

I am a university graduate fashion designer (keeping that as a hobby), so, with my creative and imaginative mind, it was a surprise to get involved in the financial and yachting world which I love today.

What skills are you currently working on?

I am currently studying at The Chartered Governance Institute UK & Ireland to improve my knowledge of the industry and to gain a Diploma in International Finance and Administration.

On a personal level, I am seriously thinking of getting a piano and learning how to play it – my childhood dream. 🎹

What’s your go-to tea or coffee order?

I would never say no to an Italian espresso in the morning, or a big cup of classic black tea with milk at 4pm! ☕

What is the best thing about being part of the Affinity team?

It is all about Affinity’s family atmosphere at the office. For example, I am the only one at the Malta office who doesn’t speak Maltese and the whole team, instead of speaking in English, teach me the Maltese language, which is very sweet indeed.

What has been your favourite social or Wellness Committee event so far?

To be fair, all the events we had so far have been nice and well organised. It is always good to meet up outside of the office and do things together, no matter what it is. Currently, I am looking forward to our summer team day on a catamaran. ⛵

What have you seen recently that has made you smile?

The boys playing table football in the board room during our lunch break – very passionate and dedicated. ⚽

What is your favourite way to unwind after a busy day?

Switch on the music and cook something new. ♫🧑‍🍳

Crazy thought, but due to my current studies in investments, an opportunity for employees to invest in company shares. 📈

Other than that, I am happy with what Affinity already offers.
