Meet the Team: Garry Crossan

What sector do you work in and have you any thoughts to share about the industry right now?

I work in the Corporate Services sector in Cayman and despite Covid-19 the business and the Financial Services Industry in Cayman has showed no signs of slowing down, in fact the yachting sector has been very active over the past year.

What led you to this career and how has it progressed so far?

I left Glasgow in my early twenties and first went to Jersey Channel Islands to work in the offshore Financial Services Industry which kick started the progress of my career in the industry and I have lived and worked in Cayman, Malta and Isle of Man during that time.

What do you do Affinity?

I am a Director of Affinity (Cayman) Limited which we recently established and obtained a Companies Management Licence to operate in Cayman.

What are skills are you currently working on?

Currently setting up the office in Cayman and everything that involves establishing the business in a new jurisdiction.   

What aspects do you love about your job and the company?

I enjoy the client relationship side of the business and also growing the business from a start-up and working within a company which is dynamic, well respected within the Industry and allows everyone to participate in the growth of the business.

What’s your favourite way to unwind after a busy day?

I live on the ocean and with the climate we have here in Cayman I will usually unwind with a swim, a glass of wine on the balcony and listen to a podcast ( I seriously  recommend “That Peter Crouch Podcast”)

What are your passions outside of work?

I enjoy watching football and can be found on the golf course most weekends.
