Mark previously attended the Future Blockchain Summit in 2014, and has been operating in the fintech space for many years, assisting many clients on many innovative projects, and now leading our business development in the sector. His experience in setting up fintech structures has built his integral depth of knowledge on the fintech sector, which enables him to provide bespoke consultancy for clients with a unique business model. Mark has worked closely with the Isle of Mans regulator, the GSC, on many break-through developments in the industry, including the first blockchain supply licence in the Isle of Man.
We hear from Mark about working in fintech:
“I work on many different cases on a daily basis due to the diversity in our client portfolio, this always keeps my work interesting and I am constantly learning something new. The case that stands out to me would be working with a fintech client to successfully obtain the first issued token based software supplied licence on the Isle of Man. The client was looking to set up a new entity with the objective of harnessing the blockchain technology to create new exciting cases and improve the tokens utility. I worked closely with the client to facilitate the acquisition of the token and handled the transaction to the highest of standards. It is cases like this that I enjoy the most due to the developments we are achieving in the industry but also for the Isle of Man as a jurisdiction. The relationship we hold with the Government, along with its pro-active approach in emerging sectors, provides us with the means to offer our clients innovative services and exciting opportunities. I have achieved various qualifications to support our services in fintech, which enables me to provide our clients with knowledge and expertise to help them reach their desired goal.”
