Christine Otieno appointed as Associate Director for Affinity Isle of Man

Christine Otieno recently joined the Affinity team in late 2022 as Associate Director in the Affinity (Isle of Man) Limited office. Christine brings over 15 years of experience in the corporate private wealth sector.

Christine’s career in Client Services initially began 15 years ago when she moved to the Isle of Man, having previously lived in Paris where she worked within the Education sector and specialised in professional development. Christine also completed a Master’s degree in Business Administration, before relocating to the Isle of Man.

Christine’s career in Corporate Services began in the yachting sector as an Administrator. Here she completed administrative tasks within her yachting client portfolio and began to develop her expertise in building client relationships. She spent many years in this field which built her integral knowledge on the Yachting sector. She assisted HNWI clients that held unique requirements with bespoke consultancy on yachting VAT regimes and ownership structures. Christine then went on to expand her expertise in the Luxury Asset sector and began to assist clients in the Aviation sector in the structuring and administration of aircrafts.

In more recent years, Christine has diversified her knowledge and gained experience within the eGaming sector. Christine has applied her integral knowledge on the Isle of Man as a jurisdiction, in respect to the regulatory regime, for eGaming clients. She has also assisted clients with establishing eGaming entities and obtaining licences.

As Associate Director for Affinity Isle of Man, Christine will work with the other Directors in the Isle of Man office to oversee the office practices and guide to the team. Christine’s previous experience in the luxury asset sector, and the eGaming sector is ideally suited to her role and guiding the teams in the Isle of Man with advice and support.

When asking Christine about her new appointment, she expressed her excitement for the opportunity to join the team and work in a progressive environment.  She has a willingness to take on a new challenge and further develop her skillset and knowledge base across our sector portfolio. She particularly shared an interest in the Fintech sector, and believe it poses huge potential for a variety of industries.
