We are delighted to have won ‘Best Employer – Career Progression’ in the Citywealth Future Leaders Awards 2022. Based on an in depth submission which has been judged by a panel of experts, Affinity were assessed by providing evidence of the progression of team members in leadership roles and the development of team members under 40 within the company.
As a young and dynamic company, Affinity has experienced unprecedented growth in recent years, which has driven our company expansion into new sectors and jurisdictions. This has resulted in significant progression in the team’s expertise, and created many exciting opportunities for our team members across our sector portfolio. Our growth provides our team with vast room for progression in both practical experience and professional development.
To achieve this award, the submission demonstrated the company’s support to career progression by presenting examples of personal career journey’s in the company so far. These examples showcased the individual’s growth in taking on extra responsibilities over a course of time, including in their day-to-day role, and undertaking professional qualifications. We presented both new team members and long-serving team members to showcase career progression at all levels, in addition to team members across departments and in our different jurisdictions, which we believe is a reflection of the progression and support our team receives across the whole company.
We also highlighted our unique approach to career progression in examples which involved team members having the opportunity to work in various departments to find the role that best suits them. We believe this has been extremely valuable for our younger team members who are trying to find their career path and reflects our support to the development of individuals under 40 within the company. We believe this demonstrates the value we place on our people and the efforts we take to ensure they are progressing in the right direction. In addition to the support we provide our team members every day, we also provide individuals across departments with the opportunity to put their knowledge into practice at events and international conferences.
The award submission also assessed career progression in leadership roles, which involved examples of team members who have grown significantly since only recently stepping into a leadership role and others who have been at Affinity for a lot longer.
